TLN launches a summer long party of soccer and salsa with its most extensive FIFA World Cup™
coverage ever and a sizzling line-up of events that are sure to get you and your family in party mode ‘Latino
Style’!
TLN launches its summer festivities with the largest global sporting event ever as a multilingual broadcaster of the
2010 FIFA World Cup™ South Africa from June 11 to July 11. With an entire nation riding World Cup
fever, the temperatures continue to rise as TLN Television, the Hillcrest Village BIA and the
Blue Mountain Village Association again join forces to bring you Canada’s hottest Latino festivals! Two
exciting salsa festivals over two weekends will showcase live world class Latin music, onsite salsa dance lessons,
delicious Latin flavours and fun for the entire family.
It all kicks off with the second annual Salsa at Blue Mountain on Friday June 25 and Saturday June 26.
This award winning festival (voted Best New Event of 2009 and listed in the Festivals and Events Ontario (FEO) Top 100
list) takes place at one of Ontario’s hottest all-season resorts; and returns bigger and better than ever with a
spectacular program as well as extended hours and locations. Don’t miss this FREE family party as the
Village at Blue Mountain and Collingwood become a showcase of Ontario’s Latin cultures.
Next is the World Cup after-party at the Sixth Annual Salsa on St Clair street festival on Saturday July 17 and Sunday July 18. Salsa on St. Clair is Canada’s largest Latino-themed
festival and wraps-up the Latino week in Toronto.
Salsa on St Clair has attracted over 1 million salsa lovers to the streets of Toronto since its launch in 2005. Join in on the parade of fun as midtown Toronto’s Hillcrest Village, between Winona Drive and Christie Street, is transformed into a showcase of Latin life.
TLN concludes its summer of fun with the 16th annual Latinfest on Saturday August 14, showcasing the best of Latino culture in Canada, in one of North America's top amusement parks: Canada’s Wonderland.
Enjoy the day-long celebration of Latin music, foods, quality goods, and traditional entertainment in the marketplace
while taking in all of the rides and attractions.
